Workshop: Portuguese Filigree

Discover the delicacy of filigree, one of the most beautiful traditions of Portuguese jewellery-making. Led by Inês Santos – a jeweller and specialist trainer at the Lisbon Jewellery Centre – this workshop allows participants, with no prior experience required, to learn about the historical context of the technique, the tools and stages of production, and to create a silver pendant with their own hands. At the end, each participant will take home the piece they have crafted, the result of their direct engagement with this ancient art.

1. Visitors must pass through a metal detector arch and their small bags will be screened using an X-ray machine.
2. Larger bags must be left in the lockers, which will be available at the entrance, next to the shop.
3. Please arrive 15 minutes early.
